Storm 2 by Blackberry - The Blackberry Storm Upgrade

The Blackberry Storm 2 is a much more improved version than the previous Blackberry Storm. The launch of the Storm 2 is a clear indication that how addition of some minor features increases the demand of a phone in the market.

What has made the Storm phone popular among Blackberry users is its attractive design and combination of many features. This new handset has got a revamped exterior which makes the phone less bulky and easy to carry. The exterior is glossy black, which makes it ideal for both corporate and personal use. This can be evident from the fact that the dimensions of the phone are 112x62x14 mm.

The most attractive part of the Blackberry Storm 2 is the vivid screen. This model sports a touch screen and you can go to the different menu options from there. The virtual buttons are very easy and comfortable to use.

The size of the screen is 3.25 inches and it has got a resolution of 480x320 pixels. All of the objects in the Storm 2 can be viewed quite clearly and the large screen gives a new elegance to the phone. Unlike the earlier model, there will be no gap between the frame and the display.

You will really enjoy using the mobile set if you are a lover of photography. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera attached to the handset and you will get pictures which are high in quality and clarity. You will also feel great to see those pictures in a high resolution screen.

The operating system used by the new Storm 2 is Blackberry OS 5.0. Hence all the applications are fast to respond and you can get access to all the applications quite fast. From the end point of the user, it is a feature of great convenience. This ensures that Blackberry browser will have a faster JavaScript and CSS processing. Other than having all these functional features, the mobile will also support Google Gears and Blackberry Widgets.

The user can get more advanced features in Blackberry Enterprise Server 5. It will help you to access Windows file, Microsoft exchange email folders and also Outlook. The handset supports Wi-Fi connectivity and hence, the user can access internet quite fast in the device. You will be able to send and receive emails and also access different social networking websites. Thus, you can remain connected even if you are on the move. Your office work will never get hampered as you can always get access to your important emails.

The network supporting the Storm 2 is quad band GSM along with EDGE, single band UMTS with HSDPA. So, connectivity will never be any issue if you are carrying this handset. The internal memory of this mobile is 2 GB. If needed, the storage capacity can be increased up to 16 GB by inserting a micro SD card. The power supply is also incredible. It has a removable 1400 mAH battery. This model can support 6 hours of talk time and 280 hours standby time.
