Starting a Passive Income Business online, just like starting any type of profitable business takes; time, effort, skill, knowledge, focus, proper planning, dedication and above all an unlimited amount of faith and patience!
It is definitely not a lazy man's way to instant riches and certainly doesn't happen over night!
So if starting a passive income business takes so much time and effort, why bother in the first place?
For me as I get older and nearer to full retirement I am always looking for ways to work less and earn more. Starting my passive income business now, will give me exactly what I am looking for in the future.
For those of you that don't fully understand what a passive income business is all about let me explain.
In a normal job or business you do your work and get paid for it. When you need more money you go and do your work again and get paid for it again and every time you need more money you have to repeat the work bit all over again before you can get paid again.
Passive income on the other hand comes from when you do the work once, but continue to receive payments for it over and over again. A long time into the future and in some cases many years into the future!
Now that's the type of hard work I like.
With more and more big companies moving into promoting their products and services online, starting your own passive income business for future income and financial freedom is fast becoming the first choice for a lot of retired and semi-retired people who are looking for a way of topping up their pensions without having to go back to work or find a part time job. But it does take a bit of time and effort to start the whole thing rolling and that unfortunately is why 95% of all the people who try to start a passive income business will give up in the first twelve months.
Here's a brief outline of what you need to do just to get started and why most people give up or don't even get started:
- Research and find a hot market. (Find what's selling)
- Discover the niche within that market through good keyword research. (Find the part of the market place with lower competition, or as I say "make sure you don't open your corner shop in the high street.")
- Create your own, or find someone else's product to sell to the niche.
- Build a website to promote the product
- Optimize the site for the search engines to get organic traffic to your site based on your keyword research.
- Start to market the site through articles, blogs, and forums and free or paid for advertising to create even more traffic.
And when that's all done you need to repeat the whole thing again and again until you have at least 10 or 20 sites out there all bringing in a little bit of money each on a monthly basis.
So, "Why Bother?"
Because if you stick to it and put in all the hard work up front, eventually twelve months down the road all those mini websites you build will be doing their work for you on autopilot and you can sit back relax a little and enjoy the money your new passive income business is now bringing in every month with little or no effort on your part.
Work it out for yourselves. If one website only makes you $50 a month, then 10 sites will make you $500 a month and if you want more money you just set up more sites selling more products.
Not a Lazy man's way to instant riches I know, but if you start building your passive income business today, you will reap the benefits for many years to come.
That's when you can really become rich and lazy!
