"If all countries could speak one language, this world may be a better place." Reality check!   1. When learning Arabic you need to have a lot of patience and dedication. You shouldn't get frustrated if every now and then you make a mistake, learning all the words, phrases, sentences and their enunciations will not be an overnight process, plan to spend many months learning just the basics of this grand and ancient language.
  2. Be a risk taker - Words like mastaba, nabob, calabash, halva may not be music to your ears as you struggle to come to terms with the vocabulary for the first time. However, a dedicated and persistent person wishing to learn Arabic should never be afraid to take chances, so speak confidently to other Arabic speakers as much as possible, even if it means sounding stupid and senseless. Feedback from native speakers is the best education you can get. So take chances and everything else will follow.
  3. Practice, practice, practice - Learning Arabic entails continuous practice. As the quoted dictum goes: "Practice makes perfect". And to perfect your skill, you should allot a lot of time and effort to sharpen your grasp of the language and reap the benefits of being a multilingual speaker
