Are you playing as the Protoss and want to know how to counter a good Terran player? Well if you want to learn how to counter Terran in SC2, here are a couple of tactics you can use.
To be able to effectively counter a good opponent, you must always be spying and scouting your enemy base. This way, you can be prepared for any attack or counter if you know exactly what they are building and at what time. Build Observers early on in the game and scout the enemy base to effectively see the army your enemy is building.
Scouting is a huge part of the match. If you see your opponent massing Marines and Marauders, create an army of Colossus because they are highly effective against this combination. Also have a handful of Zealots to protect your Colossus from a barrage of attacks.
If you see that you opponent is building Thors and Tanks, build yourself Immortals as they can destroy that combo with ease without taking a large amount of damage.
Protect yourself against air units by making Stalkers when you see your opponent using Banshees or Vikings or both. You do not need to make a lot as Marines are effective against Stalkers and can defend your Void Ray or Carriers.
If you experience a Reaper attack early game, do not panic. Counter their units by building some Stalkers early game and have them ready to defend. These strategies are relatively simple, however effective if done correctly.
