Spot Cleaning - Recipe for Residential Carpet Cleaning Shampoo With Household Ingredients

Regular daily activities, dirt, odors and pets put a high demand on keeping your carpets fresh and clean.

If you have the time, you can actually make your own Spot Cleaner for your carpets. For larger areas, however, I would recommend a Professional!

Spot Cleaning Carpet Cleaning Shampoo Recipe (with Household Ingredients)

A lot of people don't realize how easy it truly is to make their own spot cleaning solution at home. It's silly and unnecessary to pay at least eleven dollars a bottle to spot clean your carpet when you can make your own basically for free with stuff you probably already have.

In order to make your own carpet cleaning solution, you will need the following household ingredients:

1. One Half Cup ( 1/2 ) of liquid laundry detergent

2. One Quarter Cup ( 1/4 ) of color safe bleach

3. One Quarter Cup ( 1/4 ) of white vinegar. Fill your carpet cleaner with a gallon of hot water and add the above ingredients.

Obviously, if you need to spot clean or pre-treat an area, you can pour some of this solution in a spray bottle. This recipe is very inexpensive, easy to make, and it works very well.

Another extremely simple cleaning concoction that you can put together at home is to:

1. Mix a One Half-Gallon ( 1/2 ) of hot water

2. Half-Gallon ( 1/2 ) of white vinegar

3. One Quarter Cup ( 1/4 ) of dishwashing detergent together in your carpet cleaner.

Both of these recipes take under three minutes to put together, obviously saving you time and money. These solutions will work on your toughest stains. Just make sure you test a small area of your carpet before shampooing the whole thing, as there is a very slim chance that these solutions could discolor your carpet.

Allow your carpet to thoroughly dry before resuming normal activity. The carpet fibers must be completely dry to prevent the newly cleaned carpet from attracting dirt.

For larger areas and not just spot cleaning, then I would highly recommend a Professional. Do you know a good Carpet Cleaner where you live?
