You might have searched through different homes for sale and IL homes for sale. Finally, when you found the right dream house for yourself, you moved in. Now that you are all set up, it is time for a family reunion. Since you have recently bought a big house, and you have a big yard, you are planning to play host. When you have made up your mind about hosting the reunion, you must also think about how you are going to make it memorable and exciting till the end.
At first, you have to find a way to keep little children occupied so that all the moms do not have to run to their children in the middle of an interesting game. Set up an arts and crafts table specifically for children. On the table, set up plenty of crayons, color books, strings, ribbons, color papers, color pens, paint and fake jewels. Children can make different picture frames for themselves and later they can place a picture of the reunion in that.
Family photos are the most important part of a reunion. Make sure that you get them taken before games and lunch. Take photos of individual families and all the families in a group. This group shot will make a great souvenir to mark the reunion memories. When these photos are developed, make sure you give this particular copy to each one of the families. This way, all the families will have this memorable picture with them.
The fun element of a family reunion is all about the games you are going to play. Apart from the volleyball, softball, etc. you can also play some unique games.
• Treasure hunt: The play master can divide everyone into two or four teams. He/she can announce the clues and members who find the treasure first would win. Make sure you include the family. For instance, you can ask families to bring couples who has been recently married or a boy who is born in December, or a mother of twins, etc.
• Compatibility test: On a few cards, the play master can write a few characteristics of a particular person. These cards should be given to the teams to fill up. The team who correctly fills it up first wins.
• Fountain of memories: Gather some old videos of a family reunion. Make everyone sit around the TV screen and play these videos. Similarly, you can also ask the older members to share old experiences of their lives with their children and the rest of the families. To brighten it even further, you can gather some old picture albums of everyone when they were children. They would be fun to watch with the whole family around.
• Family Talent Show: This is so far the most successful idea for family reunions. Individual families can pick out one member to participate in the show and the one who is successful in entertaining the audience the most, wins. With children this is can be made more exciting.
