Focusing Your Presentations

People are busier today than ever before. Time has become a very precious resource causing audiences to demand clarity and value. In order to obtain your audience's full attention you must utilize persuasive presentation communication in a holistic manner. This means that you must give consideration to the entire way of thinking and engage whole brain thinking. You must incorporate both the logical and organizational aspects, while not neglecting the human emotional levels.

Every day kids are graduating into young business men and women. As younger people continue to enter the business world, more progressive methods will be needed to reach and maintain persuasiveness in presentations. The new standard for persuasive presentation will give presenters more confidence, thus yielding a much greater success. This new standard will exploit the fundamental understanding of the diversities of the human communication process and apply it.

The Objective of the Persuasive Communication Model

The objective of the Persuasive Communication Model is simply to persuade the audience. This sounds quite simple and can be when it is kept as the focal point. Persuasion is the center of the model. Both the left brain and the right brain have characteristics that require you to:

  • Engage
  • Connect with
  • Educate the audience.

You absolutely must be clear about your target and stay focused, refusing to stray from these boundaries. When the audience's value is the motivation for the presentation, the outcome will be measurable positive results. You must understand with whom you are communicating, as well as the value that you are presenting to your audience. Just as importantly, the audience must understand the value you are presenting. If the audience does not perceive any value in your presentation, you have lost the battle. The presentation must be both strategic and realistic.

People are so busy that their minds easily stray from what is being presented if they are not totally engaged. By paying attention to communicating in both left brain thinking and right brain thinking as you creatively produce, effectively deliver and persuasively present you will get and retain the audience's full attention. This will cause your audience to readily receive, easily process and remember the information presented. This will undoubtedly lead to more successful presentations with greater positive results.

Younger people that are actively entering the business world demand a more progressive approach. The Persuasive Communication Presentation Model works toward this new and progressive paradigm. Successful presentations create more confidence in the presenter. This in turn makes for more successful presentations as that confidence radiates.

Engage with, connect with, and educate the audience in left brain details, and right brain big picture thinking, while staying focused on persuading the audience and providing value. When this is done in a strategic and practical way, you will fully communicate with your audience on the levels they require.
