The Sony Ericsson Jalou is a mobile designed especially for women. With dimensions of 73 x 45 x 18mm, the Sony Jalou will fit easily into a bag, pocket or clutch. However, this latest Sony Ericsson mobile does not compromise features for the sake of size. You will find that the new Jalou is packed with a wide range of features ranging from a step counter to internet connectivity.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou has been designed around the concept of a jewel. With smooth fluid lines, angles, corners and cuts, this clamshell phone resembles a well cut gemstone. It comes in a range of colours like "Deep Amethyst", "Aquamarine Blue" and "Onyx Black". There is also a limited edition Dolce and Gabana version of this handset. This one comes in a "Sparkling Rose" colour with 24 carat gold plating. The headsets of this version have a nice gold accent and you also get three satin bags.

The display of this phone is compact at 2 inches long and has a resolution of 240 x 320. The screen turns into a mirror at the touch of a button. It also sports a 3.2 mega pixel camera with geo tagging. There is no auto focus though. You can also record videos with QVGA at 15fps. Video light is present and video calling is also possible.

The Jalou is equipped with HSCSD, EDGE, 3G internet connectivity of 2100 MHz UMTS plus HSDPA downloads, Bluetooth connectivity and USB. This model uses the NetFront browser for internet browsing. Internet browsing is quick and convenient. The handset also comes with a YouTube and Google Search application. You can also store bookmarks and web feeds. There is a Zodiac application which keeps you updated with the Zodiac signs and features on your standby screen throughout the year.

This new Sony Ericsson phone comes complete with Bluetooth Stereo, PlayNow and TrackID. MEGA BASS is also present. This means that you get to enjoy good music while at the salon or on the move. You can download cool music and ring tones at the PlayNow arena. The music player supports files in the MP3 and AAC formats. It also has FM radio with RDS.

If you are someone who likes to keep in touch with friends while traveling or socializing, the Jalou is the best option for you. Features like threaded SMS, easy video calling, MMS, instant messaging, e-mail, Push e-mail and so on make it easy to stay updated and in touch with the people in your life. This model is packed with gaming features like 3-D games, motion gaming and so on. You can download more games from PlayNow.

Sony Ericsson has incorporated Walk Mate technology into this trendy new phone. There is also a BMI calculator to remind you of your current BMI and fitness levels.

Other features of this cool mobile include organizer, vibrating alerts, auto rotate, animated wall papers, memory card support and so on. In all, the Sony Ericsson Jalou is the perfect blend of beauty and technology.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou and flagship Sony Ericsson Satio are two of many phones from this manufacturer that the author reviews.
