Some Things Can't Be Discovered, and There's Nothing Wrong With That

Expert Author Gianpaolo Pietri

"Man cannot discover new oceans, unless he is willing to lose sight of the shore."

| Andre Gide |

It is true. There are some things in life that just simply cannot be discovered. No matter how hard you try. They will just simply come to you when the time is right. If that. Let's be honest. Some things never come. And that is not such a bad thing. It's not so terrible. And you should not be discouraged. In the end, some of the best answers, are those we never come to...

We don't want to know it all. We don't want to see the future. Perhaps I am stating the obvious. OK, I know I am, But if we saw the future, it would ruin the surprise. And nothing would be new. And the newness, my own word, is what we like about the things that we discover. But not everything is new the first time you see it. Sometimes it feels like, though we are experiencing it for the first time, that they have always been there.

We don't find things that weren't there before, we just didn't know that they were there to begin with. And when we find them, we discover their beauty. But life isn't always about the find... about the discovery... it's about what we do with what we already know.

For me, it's simple. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. I want to know new ways of making the wheel work for me, and by so doing, discover how it can work for others. So that it takes me, and them, to new places... new destinations. I am an explorer. I look for things. I seek them out. And I don't always find them. Sometimes they find me. And sometimes, no one finds anything. And i remain undiscovered, and i discover nothing.

So what does it all mean? Cherish what do you find. Hold on to what you love, and let go of what will never come. If it isn't yours, it will likely be someone else's. And that is not such a bad thing.
