It seems these days that the only people who get any satisfaction from our bureaucrats, regulators, or our politicians are those that cause a huge stake in the media. It's really unfortunate that we are willing to elect a community protest organizer to an important government position, or shell out more taxpayer dollars to groups that march in the streets, go on strike in the middle of a recession, or cause a direct disruption in our society and civilization.
Nevertheless, if that's the new rules that we are dealing with, and that's how we are to get things done, then perhaps it's time that we take this to the next level. Perhaps it's time that the small business people who are getting the shaft, having their taxes increased, providing 70% of the jobs in our economy, and busting their butt to make it all happen - take a stand.
All the small businesses in the United States of America should go on strike, lay everyone off, close their businesses and go home, and get some sleep for the next week. They should pay no bills, accept no deliveries, allow for no customer service, sell no products, and then we can ask our politicians; how do you like us now?
You see, until now the small business folks have been holding up and keeping the economy going, while the large corporations collect money from the government for large contracts, all paid with taxpayer money and stimulus dollars. What we really need is to do what works. And even though it goes against the grain, and everything that small business people believe in, we have our current administration that only listens to one thing; Whiners and Complainers, Whistle-Blowers and Race-Baiters, Media Bytes and Protestors (in my opinion).
It seems that in this new way of doing things - squeaky wheel gets the oil - and thus, it's time to show just how loud the small business community can be if push comes to shove. We could shut down this economy overnight, and we could crash all the world economies simply by stopping.

I know it for a fact.
Indeed, it's time that the small business community got tough.
