Luck can be said to be an event happening out of chance. If good things happen to you out of the blues, you might attribute it to good luck. Be prepared all the time

Lucky people tend to be ready all the time. Once an opportunity presents itself, they think about it real quickly and make a decision. Being prepared means doing your homework and having all the facts about something you are interested in.

If you are presented with a rare opportunity, based on what you already know, you can make a decision right there and benefit. If you decide to go consult other to make sure, the opportunity would have gone and once again you are out of luck

Persevere

Lucky people do not give up. They keep on going at it until it gives. The reason why perseverance translates to success is simple. The more you work on something, the more knowledge you gain, you know what works and what doesn't and it eventually translates to success.

Be social

Very lucky and successful people know a lot of people and this translates to being lucky. When you have an issue or something that you need to do, the more people you have access to is directly proportional to the possibility of finding somebody that has a solution to the problem or knows somebody with the solution.

But when you know fewer people, then your network is only as wide as the number of people you know. Go out and make friends and keep in touch with them, you will always find somebody that will make you lucky.

Take calculated risks

This is similar to doing your research and home work before making a decision. Assuming you are going to buy a car from an auction and you already know a lot about cars, and maybe specifically about a particular model of car. A situation might come up where a vehicle is not worth buying because of the damage it has. Due to the knowledge you already have you can see the diamond in the rough which the car is and get it at a bargain.

Luck as a state of mind that you can define or determine its direction, either in your favor or against you. You can actually make your luck, think expectantly, and think of something good happening to you. In a nutshell, you have to be prepared in order to receive good luck otherwise it will pass you by.
