Well that's actually a little more complicated than you might think it is. It's not an easy question to answer. It actually wasn't that long ago when I was asking the same thing. My marriage was in a lot of turmoil and happy wasn't anything close to what I was feeling.

I didn't know what to do. I had no clue what the best route to go was.

What I did know was that I was miserable. I knew that the fun seemed to have been sucked right out of our marriage. Like someone who was once my best friend seemed to be more like an enemy in my house.

I hated it. What I hated most was that it didn't feel good to feel these things, and I knew down deep that I had the control. That if things were to change then it would have to be who changed them.

The Advice that Saved My Marriage

I figured out something that was quite astounding. I actually got some really good advice I should say. What I learned was that I should stop trying to convince my wife that I was right and she was wrong. But I also had to stop thinking that I was always right.

You see in her mind she was right. She had a reasons that she thought she was right, and so I had at least learn to hear that out. Find out what it was that she thought she was right about (even if I was saying "yeah right" in my head LOL).

What happened was that I started to learn about the way my wife thought. It helped me understand her. And through those discussions she started understanding me a little bit.

Just knowing that this was happening started the process to happiness.

The truth nobody will be happy if the relationship is not happy.
