Selecting a Wine Bottle Cooler
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

There are many types of wine bottle coolers manufactured. Some of these coolers are very small and will only hold a few bottles of wine. Other types of wine bottle coolers are made to accommodate hundreds of bottles of wine. When selecting a cooler, it is important to think about some important steps to successfully storing wine.

A person who collects wine and has several bottles will want a larger cooler that is in a more permanent location. While one may not have enough wine to fill a wine cellar, there may be enough bottles to take up quite a bit of space in a room. Placing a wine cooler where it will be blocking an activity zone is not the best idea.

The cooler should be able to accommodate twice the number of bottles of wine that are placed in it. In order to get the proper air flow around the bottles one will want to place the bottles farther apart than many wine coolers allow. A bottle cooler that is made with space that is less than a half inch between each bottle will not allow air to flow as well as when the bottles are over one inch apart.

Bottle coolers are available in a wide range of prices and styles. Some coolers are made with finishes that look like cabinets. This coolers make handsome additions to a room where entertaining is done. It is always wise to have two coolers if a person has collectible wines and drinking wines.

By keeping collectible wines in a separate wine bottle cooler there is no possibility that the wine will accidentally be opened during an event.

Once a person has their first bottle cooler, it quickly fills. Therefore, it is important to buy a cooler that will hold the amount of wine that one feels will be reasonably collected during a six month period. In most cases the cooler will fill at twice the expected rate.

Before you select a wine bottle cooler, make sure that you do your research. To keep up with the times, select an electric wine cooler as they do not require you to fill up a bucket with ice.
