Usually, the first thing I do when I open internet explorer page is to open the Google page. No matter what I want to look for or whatever website I want to open, I usually type in the Google search bar. It is not just me; most of them are doing that.
This is causing most of the websites gain search engine optimization. This is resulting in irrelevant websites are getting SEO. Then one somebody wants to search something, these sites appear first as they, are already most searched and gained SEO. This way, the purpose of search engine optimization is being wasted.
In fact, most of the websites in order to gain SEO are applying cheap tricks. They are paying per click to few people. They are employing people to do this job for them. This way, the site becomes more visited and thus it will gain SEO. This way, the purpose is being mishandled.
There are many good websites out there that no one knows about because they neglect doing any SEO for their site. Marketing your website should be your top priority, I know of some of the world's ugliest sites that make a lot of money every month because the site owner knows how to market.
As this process goes on this way for a long time, this will hamper the purpose of search engines, as they will not be providing the list of the good sites that relevant.
As they are not searched for often but instead they provide the list of those, which are not much relevant and has poor quality of content but still had been searched frequently as it has good key words.
