Society is composed of two great classes - those who have more dinners than appetite, and those who have more appetite than dinners. ~Sébastien-Roch Nicholas de Chamfort
Part1
Mr. Abhimanyu is a software engineer with a descent package in a multinational company. In this package, he can afford to go to malls for purchasing some branded shirts, able to see some latest flicks while enjoying popcorns and coke.
He saves some money from his salary as well, and sends it to home.
His working hours include 9 Hrs a day and sometimes he stretches it up to 12 to 14 hrs when workload is more.
But Overall, it's all about 70:30 ratio. 70% time normal work and 30% time load work.
He, in future plans to take a 2/3 BHK flat in a good society, and a car for travelling purpose.
Part2
Mr. XYZ is a member of parliament. As per Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Act, 2001, the amount of salary of him has been increased from rupees four thousand to rupees twelve thousand per mensem for a period of five years w.e.f. 14 September 2001.

He seems very happy now, because as per new Salary, Allowance and Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Bill, 2010, His salary has been increased to 50000 along with updated facilities.
Part 3
Mr. Vishnu Pandey is a security guard in a software firm on a monthly salary of rs 4000.
He is the only earning person in his family, which gets completed with his wife and two children.
His normal working hours are 10 hrs a day, and it can be any 10 hrs in a day i.e. 24*7.
Beside a lunch break of 45 min max, I did not notice him going anywhere else. Sometimes he do double shift which consist of 16 to 18 hrs in a day, to get some extra money.
Like us (software engineers) he has no weekends in his kit. He guards the empty floor and office in night. During weekends when we hate to go office, he comes to perform his duty towards his family.
When we go home for diwali he stays there to guard our office premises, he see the lights being lighten up in other houses with deep darkness in his heart.
When we get excited to play holi with our friends, he started to getting worried about the monthly expenses during these festival days.
Now, question is for all of us especially for the politician who got three times of hike in their salary. How can a man survive along with his family in Rs 4 thousand working 24*7, with no holiday, no appraisal, and no job guarantee! He is struggling to fulfill his basic needs and you are asking vote on the name of shining India. Who deserve more hikes? Well, our politician or Mr. Pandey.
Mr. Pandey is not an imaginative character. He is a real identity between us. And this is the story of around 70% of working population in India which is busy in making road for us so that we can drive our luxurious car over it. They carry stones from first floor to 15th floor so that we can live in 2 or 3 BHK flats. They are the people who are making you a Member of Parliament, hoping that you can bring some happiness in their miserable life. But they are not aware that you are planning to polish your well furnished bungalow and luxurious life with something better. Perhaps you are not the one, whom this proverb means.
"A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."
Greek proverb
