Decide which Keyword you want to promote for better traffic on your website. I can go with a lot of information on Keyword Analysis. But then it will be out of the scope of this post. I may include Keyword Analysis in a later post. For now, lets stick to the basics.
Google gets 50% of the share of search engines traffic. Yahoo and Bing get 30% and 20% respectively. From here on we will be looking at Google optimization instead of discussing about Yahoo or Bing. We will look at some points of the OnPage Optimization. Let's start with OnPage Optimization.
First of all, the Title of your pages. The Title is a very important part of OnPage Optimization. The Title should contain the Keywords you have decided to market on. Not all Keywords, 2 or 3 maybe, in a single sentence or separated by the pipe character. Pipe character looks like this " | " and can be found on your QWERTY keyboard ( beside right SHIFT key). In a sentence in the Title section, the keywords shouldn't be far away from the first alphabet or word. The Title section is in the '
' section of your html page. And it looks like this "Second, Search Engines look at the page from top left of the page to bottom right of the page. So it is important to have your main Keyword on the top left side of your page and it should be a h1 tagged Keyword or sentence. And a little below of that, h2 tagged Keyword or sentence should be placed. And another h3 tagged Keyword or sentence should be placed a little more below of h2.
Now, about content. Your content must contain at least one Keyword in every paragraph of your page. Do not try to implement more and more Keywords in your content by force. Let the Keywords come naturally in your sentences or paragraphs.
Third, about image "alt" Tags. The images contained in the page should have an "alt" tag that includes your Keyword. Not important but you should. An "alt" tag in a image tag looks like this "img src="jd.jpg" width="250″ height="80″ border="0″ alt="My Technology and Software Image for Web"". Enough for now.
We will see the OffPage Optimization in the next post in 'Search Engine Optimization' category. If you want to know more then visit www.BluChipBrain.com [http://www.BluChipBrain.com].
