In Starcraft 2, Protoss vs Protoss matchups can make for some funky games, since both players have the exact same units and technology available. It will be up to the player to play better than his opponent to secure the win in this matchup. Use this 4 Warpgate strategy to push out with a big force fairly early in the game.
Here's the basics: use a fairly standard build order in the beginning, getting your Pylon, Gateway, Assimilator and Cybernetics Core. As soon as the Cybernetics Core is done, start researching Warp Gate technology. It takes awhile so you want to get it started early.
Then continue the build by getting your second Assimilator and focusing on putting up 3 more Gateways. Scout your opponent with a Probe, and on the way to his base put up a Proxy Pylon somewhere near his base where he's not likely to scout it out. This will allow you to quickly reinforce your army. Get your probe into his base to scout what units he is making so you can have a good unit composition to fight it. Avoid getting all Stalkers or all Zealots, a mix of units is most effective.
After you get your 4 Warpgates, move out with your force towards your opponents base. Turn all of your Gateways into Warpgates and start warping in units at your Proxy Pylon. Gather all your forces together at that Pylon and push into your opponents base.
Use micro with your Stalkers and don't forget to use Guardian Shield and put up Force Fields with you Sentries. If you get fought off the first time, retreat for a minute and quickly warp in some more units at your proxy Pylon to reinforce your army. If the Protoss player is defending with a lot of Zealots, warp in more Stalkers and Sentries to Force Field and micro to kill them. If they are focusing on a Stalker heavy army, warp in Zealots and Force Field behind the Stalkers so they can't micro and retreat.
This build works especially good against a player that fast expands since you can get a big force so quickly. Regardless of what your opponent ends up doing though, the 4 Warp Gate push is very powerful as an early game push. Many times you'll be able to beat an opposing player even if they are more skilled than you because of the ease and effectiveness of this build.
To get the maximum amount of units out as early as possible it's vitally important that you have superb macro during the game. This will help you have the income you need to warp in a ton of units early on and take out even your toughest opponents.
