Eon UK has spent most of the last decade relying on a mix of legacy systems and SAP software components to control the operations of its many subsidiary companies. In 2007 Eon UK chose a single SAP ERP application to integrate and synchronise the hundreds of applications used throughout the subsidiaries. Eon UK's strategy focused on implementing the SAP application to standardise business processes and operations in addition to training end users in ERP operational practice. SAP Solution Manager was also used to maximise the implementation and roll-out of the company wide ERP application.
