Sewage system of a house leaves indelible impacts on the health of its dwellers. Underground water is directly affected by pollution of the water flowing on surface of the ground. Inadequate flooring of water course in or outside the house, a shop or a factory facilitates seepage and hence underground water is contaminated. Particularly, when contaminated water is drained out of factories and industrial units like sugar mills, fertilizer factories and tanneries, the underground water becomes poisonous and thus actually fatal for its users.
This is, of course, duty of the government to discourage setting up of individual units and factories of all kinds near populated areas. Moreover, owners of such units should be forced by the government to make their drainage systems safe in accordance with the international rules and regulations for prevention of pollution of air and water. Acidic contents present in the water drained out from factories when mixed with the clean and unadulterated underground water makes the latter heavier and hence the same no more remains useable either for washing clothes, bathing or drinking. The institute of cleanliness is badly affected by mixing up of unspeakable pollution to neat and clean water.
When contaminated water becomes stagnant at a distance of a few hundred yards from a factory or a locality, it takes shape of a pond which helps accelerate multiplication of germs and germ carrier insects like flies, mosquitoes etc.
Lack or dearth of cleanliness is one of the big tragedies of present era human life. Inhabitants of town and cities in particular and those of rural areas in general are almost deprived of natural freshness of air and water. Unfortunately, people living in developing or undeveloped parts of the globe are facing this acute problem and contamination of water is undoubtedly its main source which is a natural consequence of ineffective sewerage systems on domestic and commercial levels. Health of the inhabitants is least bothered about by the people responsible for contamination.
