There is an ancient superstition of the sea that, inevitably, one wave comes along that is greater than any that has preceded it. It is called the Ninth Wave.
The wave has arrived! It is here, now! It is a powerful culmination of knowledge and opportunity that has been building up over time. It is the 'wave of change' and there is no greater force. To catch the wave at the critical moment requires a special skill, timing your movements to mount it at its peak.
Today we see this powerful wave impacting on our future. It is our own Ninth Wave, bringing with it significant change. To catch this wave, and the change it brings with it, we must prepare now.
It is the time to respond; we can catch the mighty wave with the best that is in us, and ride it all the way into the future. Welcome the wave and the change that comes with it.
It is only by keeping examining and re-examining our opinions and ideas that we can progress. Change is difficult for everyone, because by nature, we have a tendency to resist it. Sometimes the easiest option is to avoid any situation that might hold even the slightest element of risk. It is human nature to cling onto what we know and understand. Familiarity offers a sense of security.
The problem is that it is easy to form habits and become very set in our ways. And, then a wave of change strikes and we struggle to cope.
To become a champion of change we need to break out of our comfort zone and try new things before we are forced to. We need to make it a habit to chase after some innovative goals.
I agree that change is difficult for everyone, and that is why we have a natural tendency to resist change. Yet, like it or not, we are living in one of the most exciting periods civilization has ever known. It is a period of astounding and radical change - an era of unprecedented rapid, accelerating change. The 'wave of change' has arrived! It is here, now!
The thing about change is that we really have no choice. Resist it and get swamped with so many new and confusing things; or decide to become a champion of change and ride the wave into the future.
We need to break out of our comfort zone and try new things before we are forced to. We need to make a habit to stay open-minded and chase after some innovative goals. It is going to be an exciting ride!
