Resident Evil 5 (also known as Biohazard 5) is the sensational reprise to the series that most fans never expected. Once again you play as Chris Redfield, but that is virtually the only similarity to the past games. Instead of fighting your way through Racoon City, you're sent into a fictional town Africa (virtually in the middle of nowhere) that has been reporting strange goings-on and bioterrorism. The second major change is that you now have a partner to help you along the way in the form of Sheva Alomar. This means that you can now play the game simultaneously with a partner, but it does mean that there are now less 'jumpy' moments in the game, and the feeling of terror and being all alone is now gone. There are plenty of Resident Evil 5 secrets to keep even the most hard-to-please gamer happy, and I'll be taking a look at the most interesting ones here.

The game is literally packed with Resident Evil 5 secrets, and the best ones are unlocked for completing the game. To unlock the infinite ammo cheat, the 'New Game+' mode (whereby you can restart the game but with your same weapons/items), 'Mercenaries' mode and to unlock Sheva as the primary playable character, you just need to beat the game once on any difficulty. To unlock the insanely hard professional difficulty, you need to be the game on veteran.

The best of the Resident Evil 5 secrets is Mercenaries mode, where you have to fend off a non-stop and never-ending horde of enemies. The longer you last, the more points you get. You also get a rank at the end, depending on how well you did. To unlock extra Resident Evil characters to play as in Mercenaries mode, you need to achieve an 'A' rank on each level. Some of the unlockable characters include Wesker and Jill (both of whom have multiple uniforms).
