Resident Evil 5 has a very long and complex story, with many elements and vital pieces of information dating back to the previous games. In Resident Evil 5 Excella Gionne is one of the main characters and is a new addition to the series. She has the appearance of a typical female movie villain - cool, collected and sexy on the surface, yet so cunning and vindictive underneath. She is clearly one to use her looks to get her ahead in the world, and examples of this can be seen throughout the game.

As the game's story unfolds, we learn that Excella is quite power crazy, and that she has planned to team up with Wesker (the game's main villain) to take over the world. Despite having delusions of grandeur and a thirst for destruction, Excella had a rather nice upbringing with her upper-class family. It was only after she met Wesker through working for her father's company that she was lead astray, and this is a perfect example of the depth of characters in the game.

Towards the end of the game we see Excella become infected by the very virus that she has been working on, and she mutates into a hideous creature. The Resident Evil 5 Excella boss fight is inevitable, and is one of the toughest in the game. Without giving too much away, to beat her you'll need to stock up on your best guns' ammo, and make sure you've got a lot of it, because she doesn't go down easily.

Resident Evil 5 Excella looks absolutely stunning in this game (from a graphical standpoint), and it is a true testament to the game's developers and the power of the current generation consoles that they could produce such a realistic and lifelike character.
