When working with Private Label Rights or PLR it is where you can buy a product that has been created by some else or E-Books, videos and software. When you buy them they are yours to do what you want to with. You can re-produce them to fit your personality, videos can be changed around. Once you have done that they are yours exclusively. The original owner of such can sell their product a thousand times over and make some decent money.
This is where the Resale Rights (or some say resell) comes in to play. This is how the owner of the original product, E-Book, software or even videos can sell their work to others. Mostly people want to buy the E-Books and resell them. There is a difference between just buying the products, E-Books and such. You can just by them on their own, meaning you have no Resale Rights or you can buy the items and the Resale Rights. When buying say an E-Book only; you can only use it for your personal use, reading or learning about something that interests you. You may not resell it to anyone or reproduce it in any way.
Now if you buy both the E-Book, products, etc. the item itself and the Resale Rights then is when you can do what ever you want with it. Most of the time though the Resale Rights are consists of both. This helps give the buyer more for their money. The original owner wants his work to be seen and bought. This is where they make their money. Ninety nine percent of the E-Books are full of sales pitches for other products. This way the original author hopes to make money from the sales of the products. Actually the sales from the E-books are an extra bonus to them.
Some will purchase non exclusive reprint or Resale Rights so both the buyer and the seller can still sell them anywhere online. Some times the creator might sell the rights one time, meaning the buyer can only resell it one time. That it is; they can not use it again. Mostly though, they will want the Resale Rights that allow them to sell it over and over again. There are certain products that sell extremely well and they are the E-Books, software titles all with reprint rights.
