Reiki Initiation - Some Reiki Attunement Considerations

Reiki initiation is a process of receiving Reiki attunement which takes place at each of the three levels of Western Reiki.

You do not need to receive Reiki initiation if you are simply receiving treatments from a qualified professional. However, if you wish to learn more about this wonderful healing art and self-realization tool then you might want to explore Reiki attunement and further training and education.

The initiations or attunements are performed by a Master. You reach Master status after detailed training and attunement by another Master who is qualified to teach and train.

However, when you think about attunement to Reiki you should not think about it as receiving the attunement. Instead, the Master facilitates the initiation to Reiki. This healing art is all about channeling and optimizing your own energy. You are not receiving that energy from anybody else. Because you are essentially invoking your own energy the process can happen in the presence of the Master or remotely. The most important consideration is the pedigree and experience of the Master. With a great Master you will receive a great Reiki initiation!
