If you are looking for a Windows registry cleaner, then you should read this article first before going out and spending your hard earned money. If you just go out there and purchase a program randomly without knowing its features then you're not just wasting money, you're also putting your computer at risk. The internet will provide you with hundreds of registry cleaners and if you don't know how to figure out what is hot and what is not, then you will probably end up in a worse case, or even bringing your whole system down.
Before purchasing it you should know what features a good registry cleaner must have. Most people do not know what to buy and they end up buying randomly. Here are some of the important features to consider when buying a registry cleaner.
1. It must be able to perform a complete system scan
All of them will tell you that they can perform a full system scan but they can't. A full system scan should be able to scan every single registry key in your system. There are registry cleaners that can also scan ActiveX and DLL files. Choose a software that has the ability to scan more items.
2. It must fix errors.
After years of trying different cleaners I have seen a lot of programs that can perform a good system scan and will tell their users that they fixed the errors, but if you check your registry files nothing is fixed at all.
3. It must have registry backup and restore feature.
There are cleaners that can't perform registry backup and restore. Even the best program that money can buy will malfunction, though this happens in rare cases it will be better if you have a backup of your previous registry.
4. It must have a complete solution for computer optimization.
There are cleaners that are only bound to scanning, fixing, and backing up your registry files. A program should have the complete solutions to increase your computer's performance. This includes internet explorer optimization, cleaning your junk files and free disk space, manage startup items, wiping of free space and more. These programs are more than just your ordinary registry cleaner; they can also improve your computer's performance.
