Reduce Sweat - Learn What Your Options Are

Your options to reduce sweat are limited. Excessive sweating, or Hyperhidrosis is not something that should be taken lightly. Whereas the sweating produces no ill effect aside from increased likeliness of skin infections, the isolation you feel when you have Hyperhidrosis is still dangerous.

When someone has Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, they may ask their doctor how they can reduce their sweat, the doctor will oftentimes shrug you off at first, as will others. This leads to behavior such as trying to hide the sweat, wearing dark baggy clothing, and avoiding social situations. Oftentimes a social anxiety is developed due to fear of the increased sweating being noticed.

So what are your options? Find a doctor that can work with you in prescribing medicines and antiperspirants that might help you out. Botox can seal up your sweat pores, but this is an extreme option. Electrophoresis has worked for many people, but again this is an extreme and painful option.

Their is no cure for Hyperhidrosis, but daily living changes can be made to really increase your confidence. Keeping a dry rag in your pockets to clean your forehead and hands works wonders. Keeping baby powder around for your feet can help dry them up. Exercising will cause you to sweat more but it shouldn't be avoided, you should try and stay in shape even though you sweat a lot.

Changes in your diet can help your sweating, as well as a good prescription antiperspirant. All in all accept your problem and don't be ashamed of it, increasing your confidence is the best gift you can give yourself.
