In this day and age, cell phones are a very common form of technology. However, as popular as they have become, many parents still struggle with the decision of whether or not to give a cell phone to their child. Although the extra expense and risk of a child breaking an expensive phone are daunting, there are certain benefits to giving a child a cell phone.

Even in the safest neighborhoods, all parents need to worry about losing track of their children. When a child has a cell phone, they always have a way of getting in touch with their parents in case of an emergency.
