Real Estate Investing - Keeping Your Buyers Motivated

Investing in real estate means your primary job is to do two things. Find motivated buyers with real estate they want (or need) to sell and to find motivated buyers to purchase those properties from you. In this article, we'll look at ways to keep your buyers - motivated even if they're not interested in any of your current properties.

Most investors know the importance of finding fresh leads to sell our properties to. Sure, this is a crucial factor but something that many investors don't think about is keeping the list of buying leads motivated. Let's think about it, someone is interested in purchasing one of your properties and contacts you. You record their contact information and work with them on the property. For one reason or another they decided to not purchase from you at this time. You continue to market that property elsewhere and successfully sell it to someone else.

Well, the original lead is still on your list. Why not keep in contact with them? You already have a relationship with them, so following up with them should be a simple process (you do have their email address right?). Why not periodically send them an article or report that is related to something they may be interested in.

Better yet, put them in your autoresponder and follow up with them automatically at predetermined intervals.

The idea is to keep you in their minds. Then, the next time you have a property they may be interested in, they'll remember who you are as a person and not just another investor trying to get them to part with some of their money.
