Lack of conservation centers, lesser health facilities for animals and also a callous attitude has resulted in endangered species. Just as how human beings are a part of the universe, animals form a major role in keeping the ecological balance. More and more animals and birds are getting rare each year owing to migratory limitation, survival and the destruction of forest life. There are many volunteers who have devoted their life towards caring for animals and doing their best to preserve them.

The black footed ferret is a rare animal. Known to be nocturnal, the habitat is a prairie burrow and it feeds on prairie dogs. Turning the grasslands to agricultural use is one reason why this animal is becoming rare. The red wolf is also a rare mammal and there are many reasons like environment disruption and hybridization that has contributed to its extinctness. The logging work has also made the spotted Visayan deer a rare animal. Illegitimate hunting or poaching is also another reason for the decline.

The Prezewalski horse is a seven feet, brown horse which is an endangered specie. The primary reason is deforestation and migration. The Bengal Tiger is known for its beauty and color. The gold hints on its fur makes it unique. The commercial inclination in fishing has resulted in many water animals getting rare like the vaquita and certain categories of whales. The reason is also lack of food and water pollution.

There are only about 250 woolly yellow tailed monkeys in the world. The population density and very low reproductive capacity are the chief reasons for its rarity. Ranching and construction of roads has further contributed to the near extinct stage of these species. The two humped Bactiran camel is in a critical state of being endangered. The reasons can be lack of vegetation and hybridization with domestic camels. The topic on the extinct animal, the Dinosaur, will always be an intrigue for all of us.
