Resident Evil 5 on the PlayStation 3 (which I will be referring to as RE5 PS3) was released by Capcom in 2009, and is the seventh game in the long-running survival horror series featuring zombies, virus' and lots of puzzles.

In this RE5 PS3 review, I will be taking a quick look at the game from the point of view of someone that has played it to death since it's released in March 2009. Since most reviews are published at the release of the game, I feel that I will be able to give a different perspective, particularly when it comes to the replay value of the game.

The replay value of the game is the best of the series, as there's so many secrets and side quests that you can do, as well as there being a tonne of different weapons to collect. Since it's very unlikely that you'll collect and get to use all of these guns, grenades and other weapons on your first play-through, you'll want to revisit the game and squeeze every last drop of zombie-killing out of it.

The game's graphics are breathtaking, and I'd rank them alongside 'Metal Gear Solid 4' and 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' as one of the best looking games to ever be released. In addition to the graphics, the soundtrack is also top-notch, and you can really tell that Capcom spend a lot of time and money perfecting it, as it complements the action perfectly, and makes the game better for it.

RE5 PS3 is the first game in the series to feature a multiplayer mode, and you can play through the entire story mode co-operatively with a friend, which is great fun. You'll play as Chris (who dates back to Resident Evil 1) and Sheva (a new character) in a baron Africa, where you've been sent to investigate a lot of mysterious incidents. Overall the game has real class, and should be owned by anyone old enough to play it.
