Even after all the overwhelming facts that have been building up for the last several decades which suggest that smoking is a very life threatening addiction, there are still cigarette smokers. It does not matter where you live in the world, cigarette smoking is still legal and kills around the globe.
It is true that smoking is more socially accepted in some cultures than others, but this obviously does not have any bearing on the illnesses and deaths that is literally happening everyday across the globe. What is even worse is the proven fact that occasional and addicted smokers are making non-smokers around them sick with smoking related diseases.
In fact, second hand smoking more often than not brings direct harm upon many more individuals of innocence today than those that are literally daily smokers themselves. This may at first seem to be a shocking or even unbelievable statement, but it is a proven fact that for every smoker, there is usually one or more non-smokers surrounding him or her at any given time. Whether the smoker is at home smoking around friends or family members or any public place that allows smoking, there is always second hand smoke floating throughout the air. Passive smoking is equally bad for health.
In almost all those individuals that regularly smoke cigarettes, there is an addiction happening, because smoking has for a while now been proven to be just as addictive as hard core illegal drugs like heroin, crack, cocaine and methamphetamine. In fact, the addiction to cigarettes can be even harder for a good number of the strongest willed people to ultimately quit even after they have kicked some of the other illegal drug habits.
Even with all of the discouraging statistics of how genuinely hard it is for each cigarette smoker to completely quit smoking forever, stopping for good is not impossible. It may take months of starting and stopping the smoking habits to eventually quit smoking. In some cases after quitting smoking for an year, the person will restart smoking again before the habit is fully ended. No matter what it takes, you may never fully give up and actually accept that the addiction of cigarette smoking has fatal results. It is never too late to quit smoking.
