Have you ever wanted to be a producer, or an actor? Now you can, with very little experience and minimal to no cost. YouTube allows anyone to be a producer, and to post videos of themselves or other subjects that can then be viewed by viewers from around the world. Don't be intimidated by the idea of having a YouTube channel, it is much simpler than it sounds. A channel just means an account it is the term that YouTube uses. When you sign up for YouTube, you are given a channel.
If you are intrigued and want to get started here are some quick tips to get you up and running:
Register - Before you can do anything else, you have to be registered as a user on YouTube. It's as simple as registering for a free email account. You may not even have to go through full registration if you have a Google account; you can simply synch this established account with YouTube.
Play with your Settings YouTube allows users to customize their page via the settings feature. You can change the configurations, choose colors, and so on until you get the effect that you are going for.
Consider your viewers when you choose settings. The page is the channel people will see when they come to watch your videos; an unattractive channel may make them less likely to want to check out your content. Be especially careful with viewability, some colors are hard on the eyes. Stay away from these colors.
Upload the Video - It's as simple as uploading a video to your computer. By uploading videos, you add content to your channel. You can't produce a video for viewing until it's on the YouTube site. Now, sit back and watch the reaction. YouTube provides analytics, or data on viewership. These will let you tell how your videos are doing compared to other videos. You can also track how many people are watching your videos, and whether or not they rate them.
