I started blogging by chance. I write my share of articles and have enjoyed online article marketing for the past two years. The benefits are numerous, from getting to know my industry better to the hundreds of new customers who have found my promotional gifts company because of my articles.
In the early days I used to add the text from my articles to pages on my website. They were all keyword rich articles and having them in one shape or form on my sites helped my websites rank higher on Google and the other search engines.
Blogging, however came a bit later. Sure I played around with Blogger and WordPress but did not take it very seriously. That all changed when my favourite article submission website, EzineArticles, launched its WordPress plugin which allowed writers to write a blog in WordPress and then submit it from the WordPress interface quickly and easily to EzineArticles.
What a breakthrough!
I quickly got started writing articles in WordPress. As I have three websites I also started three blogs. One of those blogs was for my promotional pens website.
This website has been number one on the major search engines for quite a few different keywords in the UK for many years. Through blogging I am trying to ensure that it stays at the top. I also want to rank higher for other keywords.
Each day I submit a new keyword rich article to by WordPress blog which then, after a couple of changes gets submitted easily to EzineArticles. What does that mean to my business?
It means increased traffic to my promotional pens site! This ultimately results in increased sales. I do not mean small increases. The traffic and resulting orders have been phenomenal.
I write articles between 400 and 600 words in length every day including the weekend. This means that my promotional pens website is updated daily with at least 400 words of informative information. Judging from my Google analytics account the new information is being picked up by the search engines soon after it goes live!
Think about it! Write an article about a certain popular product and soon after you are getting traffic from it. Need I say any more?
Many bloggers measure success by how many click throughs they get to their affiliate ads. Others may measure success by how many visitors and/or subscribers they are getting to their blog. I measure success by increased sales. Submitting posts to my daily promotional pens blog has ensured these results.
The information I offer in my blogs is unbiased information that anyone interested in the products can read. My promotional pens site is growing daily with good information that will assist people regardless of where the do business. If you create the content, people are bound to look at your site and hopefully become customers.
Why not do the same? Take your static site and bring it alive with daily updates and watch as your sales begin to increase.
Have I left anything out? Do you have any blogging success stories of your own? Feel free to share your stories and thoughts by leaving a comment.
