Promotional Gift Pens for Employees - Great Gift Ideas

Expert Author Dan Toombs

Your employees work for you day in and day out. It is easy to forget this fact when you are busy. I have often found myself guilty of not giving praise when praise was definitely due. Giving gifts to exceptional employees can be very beneficial.

It is always nice to be recognised for a job well done. Giving your favourite employees a good quality engraved metal gift pen can show them just how much you appreciate their effort and it works wonders for moral.

A heavy brand name gift pen is worth a thousand words. I bet you thought it was a picture but for the sake of this article we will keep the branded pen as the thousand word equivalent.

Handing your employee a Parker, Lamy, Waterman or Cross pen will demonstrate immediately that you value them as employees and that will make them feel good. This is not exactly news. Have you ever been given a nice gift from an employer? If so, you will know that feeling of inspiration and wanting to do even better. That feeling that says 'I am going to challenge myself even more to move up the ranks of this company.'

One thing that is good about promotional gift pens is that most of them are metal. This means that you can purchase them in small quantities so you do not need to break the bank to be generous. Good quality pens will last a lifetime so you are in no rush to give them all away. You can hand them out to future top performers or your favourite customers.

Engrave them with your logo for brand building in house and wherever the pen may travel.

Most brand name promotional gift pens come complete with a good quality gift box. If you are not going for a name brand pen, ensure that the pens you choose are supplied in a gift case. Many are not but you can usually order a case separately.

Remember, presentation is important and giving your gift pens away in a good quality box will look much better.

This year I am strongly recommending the pens manufactured by Lamy. I should be on commission for the amount of times I have recommended this brand but unfortunately I am not. Perhaps someday.

Anyway, check out the innovative designs by Lamy. These gift pens are not very well known in the promotional gifts industry but they are breaking records on the retail side. People are going out to purchase a Cross or Parker and suddenly changing their minds and purchasing a Lamy pen instead because of their attractive, eye-catching designs and smooth writing.

What promotional gift pen brand is your favourite? Feel free to share your thoughts here by leaving a comment.
