Product Creation For a Profitable Alternative Therapy Business

Product creation can help you to build up a profitable alternative health therapy business, but only if your products are considered worthwhile by your public. Product marketing is just as important as creating them, and you will benefit by the creation of good products that can be used both as sellable items and as part of your marketing strategy.

Any form of alternative therapy is suitable for marketing using a new product. Life coaching, energy healing, Reiki, hypnotherapy and holistic healing are all suitable for product creation, and there are a number of possible formats available for products focusing on these disciplines.

eBooks, audio presentations and video courses can all be created to explain, promote or even teach these methods of alternative therapy, although many otherwise very intelligent and capable people frequently have no idea of where to begin to create them. In fact, given the right coaching yourself, you will be able to draw on your knowledge to create high ticket products, such as coaching programs and teleseminars that people will be lining up to purchase.

Teleseminars

Let's begin with a teleseminar. "How on earth do I even begin to arrange a teleseminar, let alone run one?" I can hear you ask. In fact the answer to that is fairly simple, because thousands of people run teleseminars as a regular component of their online marketing strategy. All you need is a telephone with a conference call facility!

There are several online companies that offer teleseminar facilities free of charge for up to 99 respondents. More than 99 and you will likely have to pay, but for up to 99 you simply book the start time, and you will be given a code or PIN to offer your potential customers. Advertise the teleseminar and then simply, provide those joining with a telephone number and PIN or code, and they are in.

What could be simpler, and your teleseminar could be a free marketing session, or a paid product that is intended to teach them about your particular method of alternative therapy. In fact, a teleseminar is easier to set up than write an eBook and many people are beginning to use them both to market products and for product creation. A recorded Q&A session on your method of healing, for example, would make a great free promotional item to offer as an inducement to join an emailing list, or could even sell for a good price.

Video Coaching

The same could be said of video coaching. All you need is a webcam and a computer. There was a time that you had to use a professional video-cam with professional lighting and a good screened microphone. Now, however, webcam technology has developed so far that an ordinary webcam costing less than $200 will create a professional-looking video that you can sell.

Make sure that you write all of the content down and either memorize it or write out some one-line bullets and place it just above the camera so you can remind yourself of what comes next. Alternatively, there are online video services whereby you can have a professional read your content on video for you - though this is likely better used for an audio presentation. Nevertheless, it can also be used for video. Most prefer to do it themselves, however, and you can use as many takes as you need to get it right (about 100 in my case!). Only kidding...

Creating eBooks

Creating eBooks is the most common method of product creation, because it involves little technology and you can do it again and again until you get it right. There are conventions you should stick to, of course, but all you have to do is check out a successful eBook and copy the formatting to yours.

An eBook is a good medium for alternative therapy because you can offer information about the topic and also teach people how to use it themselves. A significant advantage of an eBook is that you can include clickable links in the text, sending readers to the sales pages of other products or even enabling them to download free gifts that you can offer them.

Viral eBooks

You can also include an email list registration form in an eBook, or at least a link to it. One form of eBook is known as the 'viral eBook', that you can give away free and stress to your customers that they can also give it away free to their friends and customers. Within that eBook should be links to your sales pages, squeeze pages and other promotional material.

The viral nature of the book, in that it can be given free multiples of times by each person that receives it, means that it is feasible for thousands of people to get the book from just one original copy, and each of them can purchase your product or service, or even join your emailing list, thus enabling you to keep in contact with them.

These are just a few techniques that can be used in product creation, and each of them can help you build a profitable alternative therapy business. They are easy to put into practice, the only barrier being your first step - so stop being afraid of the water and take the plunge into video marketing, teleseminars and eBook creation. You will never regret it.
