Problem With Fast Acne Treating Products

As with most things I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure when it comes to fighting acne. There are a few products that claim to work fast however I have had mixed results with them. A few didn't seem to work at all whereas some of the other ones worked to a certain degree and then stopped. To better understand why this is why merely need to look at the results of a breakout.

You get some sort of debris or bacteria in the pores in your skin, this causes some sort of inflammation and this is acne. Well you take some product that cleans the pores and or kills the bacteria and if the product works fast and efficient enough you have eliminated the problem and the zit or whitehead or whatever is visible reduced in a short time (often overnight). However after the initial fading of the acne we often still have a faint trace of it for a long time (sometimes but hopefully not, forever). Why is this?

Well just because we eliminated the problem doesn't mean the skin heals as fast. We had this junk inflaming and possible pushing out a section of our skin. We remove the problem but the damage still needs time to heal. It is similar to when fat people lose a lot of weight rapidly. They lose the weight but it still takes time for the skin to recover. The same thing happens with acne. I have found really strong soaps that seem to clean and eliminate bacteria overnight and I get an almost instant reduction in the size of zits and whiteheads. But it takes much longer for the mark to totally fade away as my skin most heal from the trauma.

I believe that this reason makes it very hard to find a true "miracle" acne treating product because no matter how fast it stops acne it must also instantly heal the skin in order to truly remove the problem. So even if you are spending a lot of money on some of these products that are supposed to work miraculously fast (I have tried one over $100 and it didn't work well, though I know two better ones that combined don't cost $10) you will still find trace remains of your breakout for several days if not weeks.

On the other hand I have found that if you keep a moderate acne fighting routine going when you don't have a problem then this mostly keeps you from even developing one and even if something does pop up then you catch it before it gets as big and therefore minimize the amount of damage that the skin most repair.
