Prevent Panic Attacks and Claim Your Life Back!
If you have endured even one anxiety attack, nobody needs to tell you how frightening an experience it can be. They are even more frightening when you don't know what you are actually suffering from! I suffered 4 attacks over the course of a year. My doctors were slow to recognize the problem. When the problem was eventually identified, the solutions I was offered were of no help.
Fortunately, I found my own solution. But it wasn't until I was in such a state of extreme anxiety that I had to get on the phone and call an ambulance to take me away to the hospital! When the paramedics arrived, they focused solely on the symptoms I was enduring. They reassured me that I wasn't in any physical danger and suggested I try to control my breathing in order to calm down.
The hallmark characteristic of a panic attack is a feeling of being out of control. After my attack had passed, the paramedics left my house with little parting advice about what I could do to prevent future episodes. They also said there was little point in taking me to the hospital because there was nothing further that could be done there. I just wanted to know where the attack came from and how to prevent panic attacks in the days ahead.
It was only by chance that I found the answer to my question while I was searching for something completely different. It was a book titled The Panic Away Program. And when I read the information on the website, it struck a familiar chord with me.
The symptoms discussed by the author completely mirrored the ones I had experienced. I literally also had no idea how prevalent of a problem anxiety attacks are. I read testimonial after testimonial by people who had been helped with this book.
After having tried almost every other method available, some of these people had actually begun to give up hope before trying the techniques outlined in this book. Some people had their lives disrupted for years because of these attacks.
Panic Away Website
You can get free advice by email on the site and other useful information. There is also a way to submit any concerns or questions you may have. The book was written by a former panic attack sufferer. This was done only after being unable to find an effective cure. This may explain why what he writes about and advises struck such a chord with me.
He says the fear of experiencing another anxiety attack is one the main problems with this condition. I know that's how I felt. Any random dark thought or unusual little sensation could leave me in fear of another impending attack. That would be the beginning of downward spiral.
Anxiety Attack Causes
There is plenty of disagreement among doctors on the underlying causes of panic attacks. Even more so on how to effectively treat them. I have read many of these wide and varied opinions, which was why I was so impressed by the reasonable explanation outlined in the Panic Away book. He also reassures the reader by explaining why anxiety attacks can't hurt you and what is really going on in the body during the course of an attack.
The Panic Away Method
The method is divided into 3 stages.
First Stage
Something called "The One Move Technique" is the first method. This technique trains the brain to take on a completely different mindset when you feel the first signs of an impending attack. This may not be what the typical sufferer is expecting and may also take a little getting used to.
But what the technique does do is help the sufferer get over the fear barrier. This in turn will help the sufferer take back the control during the course of an attack and minimize fears of future episodes.
Second Stage
A person who suffers intense anxiety is much more easily bothered by triggers that otherwise go unnoticed by the average person. A cycle of fear is then unleashed. This is because an anxious person lives in a heightened sense of sensitivity.
This stage involves numerous lifestyle changes designed to lower the level of anxiety to a normal level. None of these changes are overly demanding or difficult to employ.
Third Stage
This is where it is revealed that what is being offered is not an overnight fix. If you have suffered anxiety for years, you can't realistically expect this to change with the wave of the hand. You are likely to experience more than a few setbacks. But this is what the healing process is all about.
You are encouraged and shown in the book how to be persistent and find hope and growth from the inevitable missteps.
Just remember this. Regardless of how long you have been living with anxiety, you can claim back your life by learning how to prevent panic attacks for good.
