In this day and age where skinny has always won out over "curvy," curvy is now making a bigger comeback than ever with plus size lingerie. Too often and for too long, women have been killing themselves trying to work out as much as possible, primping and preening in front of mirrors while pouting at the reflections that they see. Why can't we just be happy with our bodies and more importantly, why can't we be happy with who we are?

Much of how we perceive ourselves has to do with our own self confidence. Those people who are confident often carry themselves a certain way and feel comfortable with who they are. This is reflected in how they act as well in the types of clothes that they wear and the manner in which they speak to and treat other people. All of that aside, if you are a woman and you aren't (god forbid) a size 2 in those jeans that you really want to wear, then it is ok. Women come in all different shapes and sizes. And perhaps nowhere else are we more hard on ourselves than where underwear is involved. Although it is an extremely intimate thing, underwear can make or break a woman in terms of her confidence because let's face it, everything is hanging out there for the world to see (if you so choose). This is why there are now more options available to the "average woman"- the women who don't look like stick figure models- who actually live normal lives and eat three square meals a day.

Plus size lingerie is not something that most people typically find in your run-of-the-mill lingerie stores at the mall. This is why normal women can now find lingerie that makes them feel both beautiful and confident by shopping from the convenience of their home. Most people do their shopping online nowadays anyway, so why not? The next time you look at another woman model, take a look at what she is wearing and compare it to what you normally see on an everyday basis. You will soon realize that most people do not look like "models". Rather, we are all unique and different. Think about how boring the world would be if we all looked the same!

Women need to realize that they can still be beautiful- even with a little extra weight. If you go to any doctor's office, your doctor will be able to tell you what a woman of your age should weigh given how tall you are as well as what age bracket you fall into. There are plenty of gentlemen out there who find plus-size women attractive. And in many cases, plus-size women have a lot more confidence than their skinny counterparts because they are more comfortable in their skin. Granted, there is a difference between being plus-size and being obese. Too often we get the two confused when we just lump them together. But there is a difference. Plus size women are healthy and love their bodies. They carry themselves well and they make no apologies for who they are, and that is something that we can all learn a lesson from!
