To be honest I'm not really a fan of Pink, sure her music is catchy but her music really doesn't appeal to me that much, however when your successful as Pink and you release a third album people sit up and listen and for that reason alone I am going to review the Funhouse album.
To review the album on its own would have give me nothing to compare it to, so to give you a fair review I had to go and buy the two previous albums and listen to them. I was shocked; I actually enjoyed some of the tracks far more than I thought I was going to.
I found the Funhouse album a little more depressing than the previous two albums, however that is not to suggest this album is depressing at all, it's just the feeling you get from listening to the previous two albums and then listening to this one. It is also understandable as this female pop star has just divorced her husband and some of the album reflects this.
Overall I would say the album is a more mature music ensemble than the previous albums and if you're a fan of Pink then this latest offering will be right up your street. Some of the songs such as "so what", "I don't believe you" and "sober" make this album worth buying on their own and the other nine songs are just an added bonus.
If you're a Pink fan or even if you're not and you're interested in checking some of her music out, I recommend getting this album. Funhouse is a musical album that should be on any pop fans to get list this year.
