When you've qualified her, she knows that you like her. You've invested something in her and that makes her feel like seeing you. Now she has a reason to meet you.

Lots of guys have trouble with their qualification because they think it's sleazy or desperate to hit on girls, and that's essentially what you have to do. But what you're doing when you're qualifying is that you're showing that you're interested in non-physical things about her. That's the entire difference right there.
