You know, a lot of people in the world hate their jobs. I'm not going to get into how Network Marketing is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and suggest that by simply getting into Network Marketing all your troubles will vanish. Instead I want to help you understand that Network Marketing is a Job. Like any job, you can grow weary doing it. Like any job, if you jump at the first one you see you may not be making the right decision for you and your family. Like any job, you should look into the company before you make any commitment.

Brick and mortar corporate jobs have certain characteristics that make them similar to each other. Among them is the formal interview process. During the interview, one of the things you and the company come to some level of agreement on is whether or not you'll like the job. You may not realize it, but an interviewer thinks about this a lot. If you won't like the job, then you won't do it well. It's that simple. That's why some big companies go through such elaborate hiring procedures. It's not just qualifications they are looking for. Their also looking for good fits in their corporate structure. It's too bad that job candidates don't think about interviewing the company as hard as the company interviews them.

Because people don't think about 'interviewing the company' they don't have specific issues or concerns in their mind they want addressed. They'll sit in a chair and answer questions, elaborate on past experience and try to 'shine' to the interviewer, but they'll not take the opportunity to ask questions themselves. Even if asked, most people will not ask many questions to interviewers beyond sick days, pay expectations and benefits. People take jobs to get money and benefits first. It seems that they'll figure out if they like it later. And that's why so many people hate what they do. They never put much thought into their career, their expectations or goals.

That can happen with Network Marketing too. Like I said earlier, Network Marketing is a job. You need to wake up every morning, accomplish a set amount of task, do them well, and collect pay for it. The difference is that it's really up to you to do it. And unlike brick and mortars, if you don't do anything, you won't get paid. So your motivation has got to be high. You've got to like what you're doing and who you're doing it with because if you don't, you'll end up hating it just like a brick and mortar job.

Network Marketing employment offers a lot of advantages. Among the best is your ability to choose what you sell, how you sell it, and who you sell it with and for. You should take every chance you have to look into all the aspects of Network Marketing, not just the money. The money won't come if you won't do the work, and if you hate the work, you won't do it.

Here's a short list of things to think about:

• Pick a company with a product aligned with your goals and interest
• Pick a company that has values you identify with
• Pick a company that has proven support systems

Network Marketing can be a very rewarding experience, but it can also be just as frustrating as any other type of job. The difference is that you make all the decisions necessary for your success. Choosing well, from a position of informed enlightenment can make all the difference between success and failure.
