The Philips Norelco 8060X shaver not only gives great shaves, it probably saved my marriage as well! Lately, my wife has become increasingly agitated with my heavy beard. Because I used a regular disposable razor, sometimes I did not make the time to shave. Well, finally my wife got so tired of my scratchy face, she gave me the 8060X as an early Christmas present.

I had never used an electric shaver before, so my first shave was quite an experience! I must admit that I was skeptical about this model's ability to handle my rough stubble. Even with a new disposable razor, I have been known to go over the same tricky spot on my chin, 3 TIMES, to remove all the hair!

Although I wanted to "dive in", and begin to shave, I had to charge the unit up first. It took about 11/2 hours, and after I was finished, I got about 5 shaves out of the charge.

Because I am not used to shaving in the shower, I decided to perform my initial shave on "dry land."

I plan to begin using the 8060X in the shower to save time, but that will come later on.

So, I am ready to begin. I wet my face with warm water, and pump out the moisturizing cream that is part of the "system."Hmmm, pretty good so far,as the lotion makes my face "tingle."Apparently, the unit holds about 2-3 months worth of shaves before it has to be refilled.

The shave itself was amazing! First off, the Philips Norelco 8060X has a reputation for being super quiet. The reputation is justified. This thing is "whisper quiet." And, the shaving heads just glide over my beard, with no drag at all!

This shaver handled my tricky chin whiskers without a glitch, and I NEVER had to go over the same spot twice!After I finished shaving in record time,(under 7 minutes!), my face felt almost polished and tingly!

My wife liked my shave, too, as she planted a big kiss on my "velvet" face! So, if you know of any other marriages that are suffering because of beard "assault", you definitely should suggest the Philips Norelco 8060X!
