Pet Washing Machines

Scientists have developed a washing machine which can change the way dogs are being groomed. This washing machine can offer pets automatic drenching using warm water and a blow-dry. It takes 33 minutes to shampoo, rinse and dry your pet using it. Pure ozone water is used and Japan is the country where the product has registered outstanding success. People here use the washing machine to save money, as the costs of pet styling are much higher.

This is not the first such product ever to have been developed. For several years, devices that can help owners wash their pets without making too much of a mess has been developed. However, they are more suitable for use in a grooming shop or pet store than at home. But taking your dog to a groomer and leaving him there for a day might not be a very happy event for him.

A few years ago, two Spanish entrepreneurs have come up with the idea of a side-loading automatic pet washing machine that could be safe and less stressful than washing your pets by hand. The device was called Lavakan and it was intended to offer the same treatment as you would get from a shower massage. The inventors claimed that the hydro-massage offered by their device could lower stress and increase blood circulation, while protecting the natural coating of the animal. However, many owners think that the animal feels uncomfortable while sitting in what looks like a prison cell. They also think that you cannot effectively rub in the shampoo, massage debris and dirt out of the dog's coat, as when you do it the normal way.

Dog-O-Matic was developed by a Frenchman, Romain Jarry, and it is a mini car-wash that can help you save time every time you wash your dog. Cats can also use this device, however they are less predictable in their behavior than dogs and for the first seconds they are freaked out. The French owner tried to franchise the idea to US consumers. PetSpa started to design such products as the demand was increasing in the US.

Self-service washes have been functioning in the US for more than a decade now and have been successful due to the fact that they offer an alternative for owners who do not wish to chase their wet dogs at home while trying to give them a bath. Services have also diversified such that some are offering facials and bubble bath paw treatments or canine massage. Reiki, a Japanese stress reduction technique using touch is also offered if you want to really pamper your dog.

Washing your pet may be a costly activity, taking time if you do it yourself, or money if you take it to a professional grooming service. Dogs with long hair have to be prepared before washing, brushing them before makes it easier for you to wash them and groom them after that. Some dogs enjoy water but others hate it, so you should try to find the best method that can work for your pet.
