The Palm Pre is the high tech handset that is gradually becoming extremely popular among mobile users. The Pre from Palm has come up with so many advanced features that its competitors are really facing a tough time since the day it was launched. It is definitely a user's delight.

You will never feel uncomfortable carrying it in your hand, as its dimensions are only 2.3inches x 3.9inches x 0.67inches. Once this new Palm phone is closed, it does not have any sharp angles. The makers of the handset claim that their aim was to make it look like a river stone. The outer shell of this phone is made up of glossy plastic. This makes the set look even more attractive.

The large screen of 3.1inches is one of the chief reasons behind the popularity of the Palm Pre. All the objects and pictures in the display looks bright and clear, as the screen has got a very high resolution of 320x480 pixels. The screen is a touch screen one and hence the users will really feel nice to use it. The pixels per inch of the display are quite high and this gives a clear impression of the images or videos viewed.

Another attractive feature of the Palm Pre is that it has got a slide down full QWERTY keyboard. The user will find it comfortable to use the keyboard, as he will have a rubberized feeling. Since the keys are too closely placed to each other, the user will take little time to get adjusted to typing in this new Palm handset.

You can surf the internet quite easily using this phone, as it has got a fantastic web browser. As it is powered by webOS, the connection is quite fast. You will be able to receive and send emails quite fast, also get access to major social networking websites. It will help you to stay connected even if you are on the move.

The web browser also has multi touch features, where you can zoom in to a particular section manually.

The Palm Pre has got an accelerometer which helps the screen to rotate to both landscape and portrait mode.
If you love pictures, this mobile will be of great use for you. This handset has a 3.2 mega pixel camera and it can take pictures very fast, if the space bar is used as a shutter button in place of on-screen button. Though the image qualities are nice, you cannot record a video in this camera.

This latest Palm model also offers you an extraordinary music experience. It will work fine on iTune 8.2 and you can also download music from Amazon MP3. The music system supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR, QCELP and WAV. You can listen to music in standard headphones, as there is a 3.5 mm headset jack.

If you have this phone in your pocket, you will easily locate the place you are in. It has Google Maps and Sprint Navigation in it. The Palm Pre will respond well in all three location services, namely Pre-tower location, Wi-Fi location and GPS location.

The Palm Pre and newly launched Samsung H1 are two of many new handsets focussing on bringing together social networking applications.
