PC & Video Games - Buy Cheaply on eBay, Sell At A Profit On Amazon
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

The power of selling on eBay is well known. There are markets for just about everything. eBay is an excellent source of cheap merchandise that can be sold on through other online and real world marketplaces.

One of the best markets is PC and video games. People all over the world are upgrading to new platforms, switching their PlayStations for X-Boxes, Gamecubes for Wii's. Many of these sellers are selling their old games in bulk on eBay to put towards new games. There is an ever growing demand on eBay for new and old games and systems.

Great bundles of between five and ten games can be bought reasonably cheaply on eBay. Look for games that people search for, and are described as in good condition; using this information, you can have a good idea about what price to expect from your sale. PS3, Wii, and new PC games are likely to command a higher price, but vintage Atari's and Sega Genesis will fetch a handsome price as well.

Although eBay is king of all auction sites, Amazon has it's benefits as well. While items can be listed for as long as ten days on eBay, Amazon allows listings of 60 days. This obviously gives you a much longer period to list items and attract attention from a wider audience. There is one small downside- you can only list items that Amazon already lists, because as an Amazon seller, you are offering an alternative to the full price listed items. If Amazon doesn't have your item in its database, you can't sell your item on there. Yet if Amazon does have your item listed, you can absolutely put your item up for bidding.

You can register as a seller with Amazon whether you have a standard buyers account or not. As with all markets, it pays to do some research, so have a look at a sample of games listed on eBay that are due to end midweek (many auctions on eBay close at lower prices midweek than at weekends simply due to the lower number of potential bidders with time to spend online during the week). Compare the prices of these auctions to identical products on Amazon. Go with whichever auction site seems to have a consistently better outcome to maximize your profits!

Amazon isn't the only market for reselling PC and Video games; your local computer games or rental store may well have a policy of buying games in exchange for store credit or even cash. If you opt to exchange your games for store credit, you can put this credit towards a new release that is guaranteed to attract buyers on Amazon or eBay!

Remember, your eBay and Amazon customers have the option of leaving feedback on your conduct, so maintain your good reputation as an online trader by treating everyone you do business with the utmost respect. Always deliver on what you promise, and always ship on time!
