My entire life I have suffered horribly with allergies. Sometimes it felt like they never went away. My nose would never stop running. I think I once even sneezed two dozen times in a row. I actually think it was more but I figured people might not even believe two dozen so I stopped there. I was miserable. My allergies came in all forms including seasonal, dust and pet allergies. I think as I've grown older my allergies have gotten worse. I break out if I touch grass too long or if I get greasy working on cars. Where does it end? I tried every type of medication you could think of. Once it started, though, it wouldn't stop. I had to figure out a way to maintain it. How could I avoid getting them from the start? Well there are a couple easy things I was able to do. Stay away from animals, at least during allergy season. Wear a dust mask while cleaning or doing yard work. Stop working on cars and the obvious stuff like that. But how could I keep the spring and fall allergies from getting me. As far as I knew I wasn't able to control the weather. Still can't. Wait... yep, still can't.
So these allergies were going to keep coming. I thought to myself "if I was a boxer and I kept getting knocked out what would I do?" Become a better fighter. Train myself to move quicker and punch harder. The key to a good offense is a good defense. When fighting allergies or sickness you need to do the same thing. Improve your defense by boosting your immune system. With a steady serving of vitamin C and Zinc the whole month leading up to, during, and after allergy season I did just that. One thousand milligrams of each at a bare minimum should start helping. In the mornings if I feel a little stuffy from overnight I may have a menthol cough drop or two. And that's it. I went from being the worst allergy sufferer I knew to being a guy that may get stuffy a little bit, barely. I was impressed, I hope you are too and I hope this information can also help your suffering like it did mine.
