When it comes to reducing wrinkles, there are numerous over the counter products that you can use. Time and again, these products are promised to you as a miracle treatment for your wrinkles; just apply the cream and watch the wrinkles go away.
Do you understand just how almost impossible that is? It did not take your skin just one or two days to create those wrinkles and it is likely to take more than one or two days to eliminate them, too. Now, before you reject these creams as something that just does not work, think about how they actually can work for you.
A few over the counter wrinkle creams have demonstrated some benefits in reducing wrinkles, although not all do. If you intend to use this method to attack your wrinkles, then make sure that the product that you choose contains the following ingredients which can improve the quality of your skin.
While all of these ingredients have not been researched as much as necessary to give you full guarantees, these seem to be the most helpful at fighting wrinkles and restoring a healthy look to your face.
- Vitamin A: This antioxidant is one the best agents in reducing wrinkles. Look for over the counter wrinkle cream that have this in it, but make sure that it is as high of an amount as possible. This vitamin plays a role in breaking down free radicals which cause your skin cells to break down.
- Alpha Lipoic Acid: This antioxidant penetrates cell membranes. When it does this, it helps to eliminate free radicals. It also increases the effectiveness of other antioxidants that do the same job. Vitamin C and Vitamin E are excellent choices.
- Hydroxy Acids: Here is an exfoliating product to take into account. You want over the counter wrinkle cream that will offer this because it will remove the top layers of dead skin and help your skin to produce new, healthy skin.
If you are planning to reduce wrinkles through the use of over the counter wrinkle creams and lotions, then consider only those that offer a good amount of these ingredients in them. They are proven to be the most effective in improving the look of the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
