Outdoor solar lights are becoming a very popular concept nowadays for many reasons, one of which is that the solar panel price is coming down all the time. Now this may seem strange but why not use outdoor solar lighting indoors. That made you laugh I know but what I am talking about is inside the outbuildings.
A solar panel shed light will give you all the light that you need there while they are ever so useful in garages, barns and, in the summer, gazebos. You have off the grid lighting whenever and wherever you need it. It is nice to realize that on a cloudy day you can flick that switch and know that it is not going to cost you any money. It is also a benefit that you do not have to have wires connecting the main power supply to the out houses way across the yard or even on the other side of the farm.
People tend to think of solar lights for garden paths in this context but there are many other places that they are useful.
We all like to feel secure while we sleep so put in some security lighting that comes on if anyone should walk past. That is also useful to help genuine visitors find the way to your front door. If you have a garden pond you can make it look more attractive with some colored solar lights in or around it.
Those of you with a pool can light that up in the evening time as well. You could erect posts at the entrance to your drive and put a light in top of each one. Have a spotlight pointing to your flag to be even more patriotic.
It is truly amazing how many places you can think of to use outdoor solar lighting when you know that it was paid for when you first installed the solar panels.
