Organising Your Office Team Boosting Event in Order to Unite Your Team

That is precisely why you should add some team-building activities into your company calendar so that your employees can be a team that can support one another and work well together. Developing stable staff relations is the key to a great office.

So I've come up with some tips and advice and if you trial them in your working environment then maybe your team will see a growing bond and an improvement in business success.

1) Explain clearly the purposes of team building exercises If you don't tell your staff why they need to participate in team building they may ask whether you are looking to fire any of them. So make it clear that you have good reasons for bringing them together in order to develop stronger working relationships. In doing so, they will know what to expect from the day and will hopefully loosen up and get to know their co-workers better.

2) However, it's also about relaxing and having fun. You don't want office employees to be dreading the activities or be worried that they are not performing to a high standard. If is important to let colleagues know throughout the course of the day that it's meant to be fun. And if you see someone not having a good time or feeling uncomfortable with the activities talk to them and give them encouragement.

3) Regardless of the activity make sure everyone gets involved. Team building is not just a fun experience for the extroverts it is for the whole team, so don't let the quieter ones get lost in the crowd. This may even mean tailor-making activities to meet the needs of everyone. It is important to make each and every staff member feel included or the aim of the team building day will not be met.

When your company have completed their team building tasks have them reflect upon the experience and describe their personal highlights. What part of the day did they see as the most useful? Who did your colleagues get to talk to during the day? Did they learn anything about themselves over the course of the day? Who are they now closer to? Do they have any suggestions for how the day could be improved upon?
