Entice your target market to part with their contact information with a little free gift of some sort. Write or find a short eBook, report or newsletter which is related to your niche. Offer it for F.R.E.E to your prospects.
Upon their signing up to your list, send them to your sales copy page. This way, even if they don't end up buying your product or services, you have already collected their contact information. You can now stay in contact with them and continue to provide them with information and future offers.
The list then becomes your main source of highly qualified targeted traffic. Best of all, if they are your existing customers. It's easier to make repeat sales from existing customers than to get a new customer.
The entire process mentioned above may seem complex at first. However, it really is not that difficult. Do it a couple of times and you should already get the hang of it. Besides, it's a do it once and forget kind of thing. You set it up once in your autoresponder and that's it. Just monitor and modify as needed.
Get it running smoothly. When the money starts to come in steadily, you can then start on another project. Lather, rinse, repeat. Lather, rinse, repeat. Pretty soon, you will have a number of online businesses running almost on autopilot.
A properly set up online business, as above, allows you to work on your business, not in your business. You run the business, not the other way around.
